| 1 | From exercises_photoshop blending subfolder, open images blending1.jpg and blending1a.jpg |
| 2 | Holding Shift key drag blending1a.jpg (clouds) into blending1.jpg image. |
| 3 | Choose first blending option - Luminosity, and using Up arrow key examine them all. |
| 4 | Choose between Multiply and Darken |

| 2 | Set foreground color to cyan |
| 3 | With Brush Tool (size 50) draw a line
top to bottom, and examine blending result over the color stripes

| 2 | Add blending1.jpg as a top layer (open blending1.jpg, Ctrl > A to select all, Ctrl > C to copy, and Ctrl > V to paste into blending2.jpg ) |

| 1 | With blendin3.jpg open, duplicate background (Layer > Duplicate Layer... and click OK) |
| 2 | Select second background layer and go Image > Adjustments > Desaturate |
| 3 | Image > Adjustment > Levels and move middle triangle a little to the left to slightly lighten image |
| 4 | Set foreground color to something resembling skin tone |
| 5 | Create blank New Layer and overpaint boy's face, then change blending mode to Color |
| 6 | Create Adjustment Layer with Hue/Saturation... to adjust color, and reduce Opacity for additional tune up |
| 7 | Create blank New Layer and overpaint boy's overalls with blue color, then change blending mode to Color |
| 8 | Reduce Opacity to dilute (reduce intensity) blue color |
| 9 | To fix boy's eyes, select layer with skin tone (third), and use Eraser Tool to remove color overcast from his eyes, or better yet Add layer mask and "paint" over his eyes and mouth.. |
